Special Science Feature on Childhood Tuberculosis in the EU

On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day 2011 (24 March), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) launches a series of reports and activities to raise awareness on the challenges and possible solutions to childhood TB. Current data shows that even in the 21st century diagnosis and successful treatment of childhood TB remains a major challenge across Europe on the way toward a TB-free generation.
