EDEN 2009: Poland

The European Destinations of Excellence – EDEN - is a project promoting sustainable tourism development models across the European Union. Every year the best destinations win the EDEN award. In the summer of 2009 Media Consulta produced 44 videos for 22 winning destinations all over Europe. The EDEN destination of Poland is the Bird Republic in the Warta Mouth. The park offers unspoiled rivers, wetlands and lakes. The sustainable concept of the nature park integrates the local farmers. For example the grazing cows create open meadows and important feeding and nesting grounds for many bird species.
